This rule was promulgated under authority of Section 4-32-8 which allows the slaughter of livestock by custom exempt and farm custom slaughter licensees.

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

The Department has received no written comments in support or opposing this rule.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

The Department of Agriculture licenses and inspects custom exempt and farm custom slaughter establishments and licensees to help ensure that livestock owners received their product and to further ensure the products are produced under safe, wholesome conditions. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
