Provide guidance to POST staff and law enforcement administrators for letters submitted to the POST Council on behalf of an officer facing discipline for misconduct. Administrators should include their agency's disciplinary remedy so the Council can consider all forms of discipline the officer has experienced as it formulates a sanction. Additionally, notify the public that all POST Council disciplines will be entered in the National Peace Officer Decertification Index database once the Final Order is signed by the Council chair.
