Summary
The federal Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) is adding several requirements for approved child care providers. This rule incorporates those changes. The Department is exempting families at or below 100% of poverty from the co-payment requirement. CCDF has set an asset limit which is included in these changes. The changes provide for situations where the non-applicant parent is paying a portion of the child care expense either voluntarily or by court order. The client must not use child care within the first 15 days of the month to receive a subsidy payment. Fingerprint cards are required every five years for all providers with no exceptions. Arrests or criminal charges must now be reported within 48 hours, not 10 days.
