    NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

    Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

    Subsection 53A-1-401(3) allows the Utah State Board of Education (Board) to adopt rules in accordance with its responsibilities and Section 53A-15-202 allows the Board to establish minimum standards for career and technical education programs in the public education system.

    Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

    No written comment has been received.

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    This rule continues to be necessary because it provides standards and procedures for local education agencies to qualify for Career and Technical Education Introduction and Work-Based Learning Programs funds administered by the Board. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
