    NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

    Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

    Section 41-12A-201 allows individuals, who have 25 or more vehicles to have Automobile No-Fault Self-Insurance without having to go through an insurance company. The purpose of this rule is to set forth the methods and general rules approved by the department for providing the security required by Sections 41-12A-301 and 41-12A-407.

     

    Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

    No written comments have been received.

     

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    This rule is needed so individuals can have the option of having no-fault self-insurance if they meet the requirements set forth in this rule. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
