    NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

    Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

    This rule is authorized by Sections 63G-3-201, 64-13-10, and 64-13-14.5. The purpose of this rule is to provide the requirements for employers who employ offenders. This rule also provides the requirements for offenders' participation in an educational or vocational training program.

    Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

    Nothing has been received by this office to this date.

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    This rule defines the requirements of schools, educators, contractors, business ventures, etc. when employing or educating inmates or offenders in their programs. This rule also defines requirements to inmates and offenders of their participation in these educational or work-based programs or opportunities. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
