    This rule was promulgated under authority of Section 4-32-7 which requires the Department of Agriculture and Food to enact rules to regulate custom exempt establishments.

    Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

    The Department of Agriculture and Food has received no comments supporting or opposing this rule.

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    The Department of Agriculture and Food licenses and inspects custom exempt establishments to ensure the public receives a safe, wholesome meat product and to ensure that the facilities operate in compliance with public health requirements. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
