Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
There has been no opposition to the rule. The Long-Term Ombudsman program is an important tool in ensuring the safety and quality of life of Utahans in care facilities. The division feels the rule should continue, although it intends to submit changes that will update the rule to reflect program changes that have been made and to bring the rule into compliance with recent legislative changes as well as with OAA Title VII: Allotments for Vulnerable Elder Rights Protection Activities and Sections 62A-3-201 to 62A-3-208, and 62A-3-104.
