Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
This rule is necessary to establish standards that apply to packaging and labeling of food and nonfood commodities. It promotes uniformity in the marketplace. It provides accurate and adequate information on packages as to the identity and quantity of contents so that purchasers can make price and quantity comparisons.
