    In Section 4-9-2, the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food is authorized to make and enforce rules necessary to administer and enforce Title 4, Chapter 9.

    No written comments have been received.

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    The purpose of this rule is to enable the State Metrology Laboratory to maintain its certification from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This certification is required for weights and measures in Utah to be recognized as meeting national and international standards for commerce.
