NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

Subsection 53A-1-402(1)(c)(i) directs the Utah State Board of Education (Board) to adopt rules for school accreditation and Subsection 53A-1-401(3) allows the Board to adopt rules in accordance with its responsibilities.

No written comment has been received.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This rule is continued because it provides necessary procedures for public schools for which accreditation is required and for nonpublic schools which request accreditation.
