The Utah State Parks Board has rulemaking authority under Section 79-4-304;pPark rangers are given authority under Section 79-4-501 to enforce rules for the protection of the state parks and park property, from misuse or damage, and to preserve the peace within the state parks.

No written comments were received during or since the last five-year review from interested persons supporting or opposing this rule.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This rule provides for the health and safety of park visitors by requiring shirts and shoes be worn when entering museums, visitor centers, and administrative offices of the park system. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
