Park rangers are given authority under Section 79-4-501 and may enforce rules for the protection of state parks and park property from misuse or damage and to preserve peace within state parks.

This rule protects parks visitors and provides a process for reporting incidents that involve personal injury or damage to property, public or private. It also protects park cultural and natural resources. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
