Sections 62A-7-501 through 62A-7-507 created within the Division a Youth Parole Authority, composed of full and pro-tempore members. The authority will determine parole release, rescission, revocation, and termination of parole for youth offenders committed to secure care within the division.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
The division continues to be responsible for the operation of the Youth Parole Authority. Therefore, this rule should be continued. Changes will be made in the future to bring the rule into compliance with Utah Code, along with nonsubstantive Code reference changes.
