    NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

    Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

    Subsection 53A-1-402(1)(e)(i) directs the Utah State Board of Education to adopt rules mandating school productivity and cost effective measures and Subsection 53A-1-401(3) which allows the Utah State Board of Education to adopt rules in accordance with its responsibilities.

    No written comments have been received.

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    This rule continues to be necessary because it provides the necessary standards for application for and distribution of funds for gang prevention and intervention programs in the public schools. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
