Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

There have not been any written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

The purpose of this rule is to focus the efforts of tuberculosis control on disease elimination. This rule is aimed at all persons who advocate, plan, and work at controlling and preventing tuberculosis in Utah. The standards outlined in this rule constitute the minimum expectations in the care and treatment of individuals diagnosed with, suspected to have, or exposed to tuberculosis. Continuation of the rule is critical to providing a coherent and practical approach to providing significant science-based protection of the population against tuberculosis.
