This rule is enacted under Title 63A, Chapter 13, "Office of Inspector General of Medicaid Services". This provision authorizes the Office to create rules that establish standards for how the Office is to conduct business and how it will interact with Medicaid-contracted entities.

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

There have not been any written comments received by this Office in the past five years regarding this rule.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This rule should be continued because the work of the Office is still conducted in a substantially similar fashion. The Office is conducting a thorough review of the rule under new management and will likely update the rule in the future.
