This rule is promulgated by the Drinking Water Board as authorized by Title 19, Environmental Quality Code, Chapter 4, Safe Drinking Water Act, Subsection 104(1)(a)(ii) of the Utah Code. The Drinking Water Board may make rules governing the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of public drinking water systems.
Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:
There have been no comments received in support or opposition of this rule.
Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
The continuation of this rule will ensure that new pumping facilities and hydropneumatic systems for public drinking water systems will be constructed to reliably provide an adequate supply of safe drinking water to the people of the State of Utah.
