    Under Sections 23-14-18 and 23-14-19, the Wildlife Board is authorized and required to regulate and prescribe the means to allow the collection, importation, exportation, transportation, and possession of animals and their parts.

    Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

    No written comments supporting or opposing Rule R657-3 have been received since 03/10/2008 when the rule was last reviewed.

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    Rule R657-3 governs the collection, importation, exportation, transportation, and possession of animals and their parts. The procedures adopted in this rule have provided an effective and efficient process. Continuation of this rule is necessary for continued success of this program.
