Under Sections 23-14-18 and 23-14-19, the Wildlife Board is authorized and required to regulate and prescribe the means to allow the collection, importation, exportation, transportation, and possession of zoological animals and their parts.

No written comments supporting or opposing Rule R657-3 were received since 04/15/2003 when the rule was last reviewed.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

Rule R657-3 governs the collection, importation, exportation, transportation, and possession of zoological animals and their parts. The procedures adopted in this rule have provided an effective and efficient process. Continuation of this rule is necessary for continued success of this program.
