    Section 4-37-101 et seq., Subsection 4-2-2(j), and Section 4-37-503 authorize the Department to enact a rule to regulate the aquaculture industry in Utah.

    Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

    The Department has not received any comments supporting or opposing the rule.

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    This rule is essential to provide direction for regulating the industry to control the spread of disease in public and private fishing waters. It helps in maintaining the economic viability of these types of operations. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
