NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

Section 62A-2-106 provides the responsibility of the Office of Licensing to make rules to establish consumer safety, protection, minimum administration, and financial requirements for the agencies.

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

There have not been any written comments received on this rule during the past five years.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This rule is required because of the continuing need for child placing adoption agencies caused by more children being placed in adoptive homes and for the continued protection of these children. This rule establishes standards for those agencies. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
