    Subsection 53A-1-402(1)(a) directs the Utah State Board of Education to establish rules and minimum standards regarding the certification of educators, and Subsection 53A-1-401(3) allows the Utah State Board of Education to adopt rules in accordance with its responsibilities.

    No written comments have been received.

     

    Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

    This rule is necessary because it specifies the standards that must be met by teacher preparation institutions to receive Utah State Board of Education approval of specific programs and training, and therefore, this rule should be continued.
